Wheel-thrown fireclay plate with nuka glaze made of fir wood ash. Fired in a reducing atmosphere to 1290ºC for 10 hours in a manual gas kiln. As a unique handmade product, each one has slight differences in glaze and shape. By acquiring one of them, you can expect to recieve any of the plates showned in the pictures.

Even though this piece is food, dishwasher and microwave safe, you should take special care of it if you want to keep it for a longer time. Wash by hand all pieces if possible and avoid leaving liquid in them for a long period of time. Crackle glazed pieces will stain over time due to the use of highly coloured liquids, so please avoid using strongly staining foods/liquids. Also, it is preferable to avoid sudden temperature changes, so it is better to let the boiling water settle before pouring it into the cup.
